| Miro
is a
small program to optimize racers for the sodarace
application. Miro
can breed models from scratch or it can make your own models faster. You will need an up-to-date version of Java, which you can get here. After starting the program, you will see the following screen: ![]() Now you can choose which parameters you would like to optimize. If you are optimizing rolling models (e.g. amoebas) the rotation symmetric option should be selected. The default options are good for optimizing existing models. If you want to breed models from scratch, just select all options (except maybe height if you don't want giant models). After clicking the start button you can choose the model you want to optimize. The following screen will appear next: ![]() You should now start the sodaracer and load your desired race. It is a good idea to reduce the time-out value in the race XML file to speed up the optimization process. After clicking OK, Miro will show a small progress dialog. Miro will save the best model as fastest.xml in the same directory as the model XML file. |
